About the BRICS+ Skill Programme
The objectives of the BRICS+ Skill Programme:
- In-depth BRICS+ Knowledge: Provide participants with an intensive and multidimensional knowledge of BRICS, encompassing its historical context, foundational principles, current initiatives, and future aspirations.
- Deepening BRICS+ Understanding: Enhance participants’ understanding of the history, principles, and significance of BRICS+ cooperation, emphasizing its economic, political, and cultural dimensions.
- Strengthening Diplomatic Skills: Develop and refine essential diplomatic skills, including negotiation, mediation, conflict resolution, public speaking, and intercultural communication.
- Building BRICS+ Networks: Create a platform for networking and collaboration among young diplomats and leaders from BRICS+ member countries to promote mutual understanding and friendship.
By the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Understand the concept and significance of BRICS+ in the global geopolitical landscape.

- Residential Component: The Programme will consist of an essential one-week residential component, where participants will gather at a designated location conducive to learning and cultural exchange.
- Online Learning: The remaining weeks of the programme will be conducted through a dynamic online platform, allowing participants to engage in interactive sessions, discussions, and coursework.
- Curriculum: The BRICS+ Diplomacy Programme’s comprehensive curriculum has been meticulously designed to provide participants with a well-rounded and in-depth understanding of BRICS+ cooperation and diplomatic dynamics.
Throughout the curriculum, interactive learning methodologies, including group discussions, case studies, role-plays, and experiential learning, will be employed to encourage active engagement and foster a dynamic learning environment.
Benefits for participants:
The Programme will be conducted in partnership with an academic institution in any of the BRICS+ countries, this will be a combination of two or more academic institutions. The progamme will be delivered by an esteemed faculty members comprising of distinguished experts, diplomats, and academics with vast experience in international relations and BRICS+ affairs. Renowned guest speakers from BRICS+ nations will be invited to share their insights and experiences, providing participants with a well-rounded perspective.
Upon successful completion of the Programme, participants will receive an accredited and recognized certificate from the SABYA and its partner university, acknowledging their accomplishment and commitment to BRICS+ cooperation.
Enrollment in the Programme will be open to young individuals aged 18 to 45, (exceptions will be provided on individuals over 45 based on merit) from all BRICS+ member countries, Africa and the Global South, with a competitive selection process based on merit.
The Programme is poised to leave a lasting impact on participants, shaping a new generation of skilled and visionary diplomats and leaders. Graduates of the programme will be equipped to drive BRICS+ initiatives, strengthen cooperation, and build lasting connections within the BRICS+ community.
